Pixel Ripped 1995, the second opus of this VR saga developed by Arvore, arrives on PlayStation VR2 with an improved version and updated graphics, at the level of the recent Pixel Ripped 197, the last in the franchise. In the second part of the saga, the heroine Dot is back and must once again face the evil Lord Cyblin, who stole the Pixel Stone. To give you some context, Dot is a video game character and holds her own well in the virtual world. But when misfortune strikes, she needs the help of a talented player to overcome the challenges she faces. So after Cyblin Lord returns, Dot begins searching among all humans for the best video game player. And, in this case, it turns out that that honor goes to David, a 9-year-old boy who, yes, lives in 1995. So we will play the adventures of Dot at the controls of different video games of the heroine that imitate great works of those years and reflect the battle of Nintendo and SEGA in a fictional way. In other words, playing Pixel Ripped 1995, as is usual in the saga, means that you will be playing video games while you play one. What’s curious, of course, is that in the title you are David, so you will live his experiences while having a vice. This means, for example, that on some level your mother will bother you because you spend all day playing video games and she will even try to turn off your console. This is of course a shame, because on your game console you enjoy a Dot game and you help, even if David does not know it, the heroine to fight the enemies. Regardless, this is just the first example you’ll find in the title and, even though it’s been on the market for three years (after being released on other platforms), we shouldn’t spoil it the whole experience. The setting that the studio is able to create is absolutely incredible and the dialogues will make you laugh, even if they are not in French (the screen texts have been localized).
