The 15-year-old who was viciously attacked by several people yesterday (04.04.2024), at the exit of his school in Viry-Châtillon, in the Paris region of France, died.
The unfortunate teenager who was hospitalized in a critical condition after the attack he received, in a school in France, breathed his last early this afternoon local time, as was announced by the Evry prosecutor’s office in a press release.
The investigation, which initially started for attempted murder, now concerns “charges of murder and group attack on the outskirts of a school complex”, points out the prosecutor Grégoire Dulen.
“Investigations are continuing to determine the circumstances of these criminal events and to allow the arrest of the perpetrators,” added the press release he issued.
The events unfolded yesterday afternoon, according to the prosecutor. Having been “violently attacked by several people”, the teenager was “found seriously injured by a passer-by on a street close to his high school”.
The victim, who underwent “urgent surgery” overnight Thursday to Friday, died in the early afternoon local time, according to the prosecutor.
Today there is emotion at the school, located in this working-class suburb in the southern suburbs of the French capital, where 15-year-old Samsedin was a third-year student, AFP reporters found.
“We will stand intransigent in the face of any form of violence,” French President Emmanuel Macron said before announcing the child’s death during a visit to another school complex in Paris.
The school “must remain a refuge” in the face of “a kind of unrestrained violence among our teenagers,” added the French head of state.
