Damien, who had been missing since Thursday evening, was found early Saturday evening not far from his home, on chaussée du Roeulx in Soignies near the DIY store. As a reminder, the 30-year-old had left his home, located at Chaussée de Braine, around 7:20 p.m. He had gone for a walk as he does daily for a ride of about 45 minutes. Not seeing him return around 8:30 p.m., Chantal, his mother was however worried.
The mother of the thirties had contacted the police who have already carried out searches at night, helped by tracking dogs. The next day, the police were already issuing a search warrant. Chantal then discovered her son’s medicine box empty. She had explained to us that a week before, Damien had consulted a doctor because he was in low spirits. Finally, following numerous calls, a lady recognized Damien on Saturday evening and contacted the police. The anguish of the relatives of the 30-year-old will thus have lasted nearly 48 hours.
