Mentioned by persistent rumors in recent months, the Galaxy Ring connected ring would be presented by Samsung during the Unpacked event in January 2024. At the risk of letting the future Galaxy S24 steal the show.

According to the information shared by the leaker Ice Universe, Samsung would take advantage of its next Unpacked event in early 2024 to unveil its “Galaxy Ring” connected ring. For the Korean giant, the conference, expected in January, would indeed make it possible to announce with great fanfare this accessory and the brand new category of products that it will inaugurate. A presentation which could, potentially, eclipse that of the Galaxy S24, considers for its part GSMArena.
You will have noted in passing thatIce Universe places the next Unpacked event somewhere in January, not February as was the case for the 2022 and 2023 editions of the conference. This wouldn’t be the first time Samsung has had a major launch in January, however. It remains to be seen whether Samsung’s connected ring will be ready for market this soon.
A journey still strewn with pitfalls
And as it stands, the game is not yet won. Because if Samsung was planning, at the end of July, to launch production of its Galaxy Ring in August, the brand would now be slowed down in its momentum by the additional authorizations required for health monitoring products.
Samsung’s connected ring should indeed synthesize the majority of features offered by Galaxy Watch connected watches. Among them, monitoring sleep, heart rate and even physical exercise.
As pointed out GSMArena, the accessory would nevertheless be of assumed minimalism. It should not integrate a screen and would be intended for people wishing to benefit from monitoring their health… but without having to wear a connected watch. In this sense, the Samsung ring could appeal to fans of classic (non-connected) watches as well as users who don’t like having something on their wrist.
The Galaxy Ring would also be a way for Samsung to return in force to the field of wearables after having (visibly) abandoned connected bracelets, which are increasingly discreet in the brand’s communication. For example, we have not heard from the Galaxy Fit 3 for over a year.
