And the media department of the House of Representatives stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, opened the work of Session No. (1) of the fifth electoral session, the second legislative year, the first legislative term.”
The agenda of the session includes taking the constitutional oath for some deputies, voting on new deputies in the permanent parliamentary committees, the first reading of the draft Communications and Informatics Law, as well as a discussion (second reading) of the Fourth Amendment Bill to the Industrial Investment Law for the private and mixed sectors.
The agenda also includes the report of the fact-finding committee on (the information contained in the book of the Ministry of Environment / Center for Radiation Protection on the presence of chemical radiation (carcinogenic) in the Dab fertilizer produced by the Southern Fertilizer Company, in addition to the report of the Health and Environment Committee participating in the Conference of the States Parties to the Convention United Nations Framework for Climate Change on climate change, as well as general discussions.
