The industrial zone of Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi celebrates its 100th anniversary

During the celebration of 100 years of the industrial zone of Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadiwhich contributes up to 46% of national industrial production and employs 42% of the workforce in the Greater Casablanca-Settatindustrial players have stressed the need to strengthen the sector’s competitiveness by paving the way for the appearance of new forward-looking sectors.

The president called on the supervising ministry to strengthen control in order to kinds that the strategies adopted to strengthen the industrial fabric are adopted by the parties concerned.

The celebration, which was scheduled for April 2020, crowns a century of hard work during which the giants of Moroccan industry have emerged and developed, and is an opportunity to highlight the potential of this area for create more value and more jobs.

Speaking at the event, Ryad MezzourMinister of Industry and Trade declared that “this area was the biggest economic lung of the morocco but over time that changed. Many things have changed for the better, many polluting industries have quit and many have gone into standards but we are not finished yet, because Casablanca is not industrially dead”.

The minister took this opportunity to call on industrial operators to focus on the potential of the industrial zone of Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi to promote its ecosystems and to prevent the scenario of of industries of Fez, which was a real industrial pole, reproduces itself, underlining that Morocco is now considered among the most dynamic industries in the world.

The ceremony was marked by the signing of six agreements, in particular with the Office of Vocational Training and Work Promotion (OFPPT) and the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC)the National Agency for the Fight against Illiteracy to consolidate opportunities, the University worldpolis.
