The Russian-Ukrainian war has been over for more than 170 days. According to “Ukrainska Pravda” (Ukrainska Pravda) on the 15th local time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the evening of the same day. According to “RIA”, two explosions occurred in the northern Crimean town of Dzhankoi, and a substation 20 kilometers away from the town caught fire. The other was an ammunition depot that exploded at around 6:15 a.m. local time.

Although the cause of the accident is not yet clear, Twitter netizens went viral that the ammunition depot was hit by a missile. In response, Sergei Aksyonov, Russia’s chief executive in Crimea, said via Telegram: “I have rushed to the village of Mayskoye in the Zankoy region. The relevant personnel are investigating the incident. Details. I’ll let the public know as soon as I have news.”

In response to the bombing, Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister, pointed out that Zankoy was the gateway to the Kherson region.

Previously, the Ukrainian army launched a counter-offensive in southern Ukraine, hoping to recover the Kherson and other areas occupied by the Russian army. The Ukrainian government announced on the 13th that Ukrainian long-range weapons hit the last remaining working bridge of the Russian army over the Dnipro River, in order to weaken the Russian army’s supply.
