The most popular class in Destiny 2 is being nerfed again

It’s only a week until Witch Queen and Bungie continues to release information about the big new expansion for Destiny 2. This time a nerf was called that is not only devastating for Titans, but also for the most popular class: the hunters. We show you what Bungie is up to.

What was published? In a podcast by DCP, Bungie developers Kevin Yanes, Bungie’s Sandbox Discipline Lead, and Samuel Dunn were interviewed about Destiny 2 on YouTube. In doing so, they revealed painful details that will affect two classes.

In Witch Queen the titans, but also the hunters will receive hefty nerfs. This will be especially noticeable in PvE.

Hunters are nerfed in PvE

In Destiny 2, the hunter has had to go through a lot. Whether it Your nerfs are great or abilities or the class-specific Exos, which were completely adjusted in a few days. The hunter won’t have it any easier in Witch Queen either.

The hunter and his old bow

The “Heart of the Pack” perk of the Moebius Quiver ability is being removed entirely. You will not be able to use this ability in Witch Queen. That means bound enemies who are killed afterwards will not let your hunter spawn light orbs. Your fellow players will no longer receive a boost in recovery, mobility and resilience.

The hunter will also have to do without the “combat commission” ability from Witch Queen onwards. It previously caused hunters to gain melee ability energy when damaging enemies with their grenades and grenade energy when rendering allies invisible. This will also nerf the hunter’s only supporting exotic, the Omnioculus chest armor, going forward. In the future, hunters will get grenade energy for their kills via a Void 3.0 Fragment.

When does it get caught? The burly Titan will not have it easy either. the popular “bubble”, which is often used in raids, will only grant you a 25% damage buff instead of the usual 35%. This puts the warlock more and more in the spotlight when it comes to the best support.

The announcement was also annoying because one of Bungie’s last TWaB blog posts still sounded like “Dawnguard” would be a stronger alternative. However, the now known nerf was not mentioned there.

Why are these changes coming? The changes will only feel the guardians in Witch Queen. Because with Void 3.0 you’ll be able to mix up your supers just like the stasis ultimates. Bungie took a closer look at the individual classes and changed them so that the old perks of Void 2.0 do not collide with the new aspects and fragments of Void 3.0.

What does the community say about this? The community doesn’t understand the change and the Titans are very outraged by Bungie’s decision. The YouTube user said: RoachdoggJR:

Little did he know that man’s sheer confidence when he said, “You can’t get snapped in a bubble,” as he frantically tried to explain that nerf, just by saying that word, he annoys any Titan.

In doing so, players realize that the Warlock’s Well will now be the better alternative for endgame content. So the Titan can leave the support to the Warlocks in the future. The hunters, on the other hand, continue to deteriorate, but with Void 3.0, aspects and fragments could ensure that the hunter can still prove itself.

What do you think of the change? Do you think it makes sense or does it annoy you that Bungie has the hunter in its sights? Do let us know how you feel about it.
