The Parade of Classic and Antique Cars is one of the great references that the Flower Fair and, next to the Silleteros Parade, the one that gathers the most public in the streets.

After two years of absence, due to pandemic issues due to covid-19, the contest returns this year to the official programming of the traditional festivals of Medellín. Since its first edition, the Parade of Classic and Antique Cars has been organized by the antique car clubs ACLA, CLAM and by the Automobile Club of Colombia sectional Antioquia (ACC).

Since 2002, the three institutions have formed the Museo del Transporte-Foundation, an entity that has organized the event ever since, with the support of the newspaper EL COLOMBIANO, as the main sponsor and ally.

This year the Parade will take place on Saturday August 13 and will cover 22 kilometers of the streets of Envigado and Medellín.

The presence of more than 250 vehicles is expected, driven by people dressed in the style of each era to which the vehicle corresponds.

When does the Flower Fair start?

Next Thursday, July 28, at the Museo del Transporte Fundación, at the El Castillo Museum, the organizers will hold a meeting with the media to present all the details of the return of the Parade of Classic and Antique Cars at the Flower Fair.

The Flower Fair 2022 It will take place from August 5 to 15, in person completely and will feature more than 3,200 artists. The Silleteros Parade (will be on August 15) returns to the streets.

It was also known that of the 520 silleteros that will participate in the parade, 420 are adults, 50 juniors and 50 children. Although access to the stands is free, the procedures for acquiring tickets will be reported on the social networks of the Mayor’s Office and on the official website of the Feria de las Flores.

Among the artists who have already confirmed their presence are Totó La Momposina, Andy Montañez, Rikarena, Kevin Johansen, Chocquibtown, Wilfrido Vargas, Reykon, Los Hermanos Aicardi, Adriana Lucía, Karen Lizarazo and Miranda, among others.
