The US is sending reinforcements to the Middle East region as fears grow of a possible Iranian attack on Israel, which Tehran blames for the deadly attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
“We are deploying additional ones in the region to enhance regional deterrence efforts and enhance the protection of American forces,” a US official said, while the White House earlier said it considers Iran’s threat to Israel to be real. The official did not specify what kind of aid these are.
IDF Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, and @CENTCOM Commander, General Michael Erik Kurilla, completed a comprehensive situational assessment with IDF officials on the IDF’s readiness for defensive and offensive operations in all scenarios.

Characteristic of the concern that Iran’s threats have caused, is the meeting that took place today between the Chief of the General Staff of the IDF, General Khetrzi Halevi, and the commander of the Central Command of the American Forces in the Middle East (CENTCOM).
Netanyahu’s meeting with members of the war council
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to meet today with members of Israel’s war cabinet, including Defense Minister Yoav Gallad and opposition leader Benny Gantz, according to the BBC.
According to what the American network CBS News reports, citing American officials, Iran could attack using more than 100 drones, dozens of cruise missiles and possibly ballistic missiles against military targets in Israel.
