“This is an exciting moment as we transition from REDengine to Unreal Engine 5, starting a multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games. It covers not only licensing, but also the technical development of Unreal Engine 5, as well as potential future versions of Unreal Engine, where appropriate.
We will be working closely with the Epic Games developers with the main goal of helping to adapt the engine for open world games,” CD Projekt RED said in a statement.
At the same time, the developers said that the game will not be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
The release date of the game and the details of its plot have not yet been announced.
