Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Haitham Al-Enezi explained the diet that maintains a healthy heart.
He said during an interview with the “Yahla” program broadcast on the “Rotana Gulf” channel: “Unhealthy food leads to pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and heart disease.”
He continued: “You should stay away from saturated fats, such as fast food, and stay away from sugars, because they turn into fats and can accumulate in the arteries, and stay away from eating large amounts of meat.”
He pointed out the need to eat fruits and vegetables, because they are more beneficial to the body than meat, fats and rice.
He pointed out that drinking water is beneficial for heart health because a lack of fluid leads to an increase in heart palpitations, but the excess amount may not have a direct effect on heart health.
