The sky of Abu Dhabi shone with the cast of the last part of the international star Tom Cruise’s “Mission Impossible” series, during the first opening show in the Middle East, at the Emirates Palace after London and Rome.

In addition to Tom Cruise, “Mission Impossible” director Christopher McQuarrie was present, who praised the filming locations provided by the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, affiliated to the Creative Media Authority.

The latest part of the series was filmed in the iconic new building at Abu Dhabi Airport and the golden Liwa desert.

The 60-year-old star executed the most dangerous and greatest scene in the history of cinema in a breathtaking shot, when he jumped on a motorcycle over a steep cliff, then completed his descent to the ground with a parachute.

In an interview with Sky News Arabia, the film’s star, world star Tom Cruise, said:

This is the second time that I filmed in Abu Dhabi, bearing in mind that I filmed in Dubai previously, and the experience was beautiful. The size of this movie is huge, the airport is really amazing, and the desert is breathtaking. I got a chance to ride a horse named Zeus. The possibility of filming in this region was magical, and as I mentioned during my upbringing, I wanted to travel around the world, and I did not want to be a tourist, but rather I wanted to get to know different cultures and work with them. You learn a lot about people when you work on creating something together.

Series director Christopher McQuarrie told Sky News Arabia:

Our return to the region again was not a coincidence, as we came to shoot some scenes from the sixth part of the “Mission: Impossible” series, as well as the seventh part. We knew that there is a lot to discover in this country (UAE), so we came back, and we were looking for an airport, and the government kindly provided you with a location to shoot here by allowing us to shoot in this beautiful airport.
