“We will try to show results this year. We don’t need to surprise everyone in the world, we need it for ourselves,” Zelensky explained.
The President of Ukraine also complained about the long wait for arms deliveries and the slow decisions of Western allies.
“We must also understand that there are a lot of bad surprises. A crisis in some parliament or congress. Decisions are being made somewhat slowly,” Zelensky said.
On October 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with the China Media Corporation, said that the Ukrainian counteroffensive had no results, but there were huge losses, which were eight times higher than the Russian ones. On October 30, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu estimated the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the start of the counteroffensive at 90,000 people. During this time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also lost 600 tanks and 1,900 armored vehicles of various classes.
