Unlock the mysteries of the brain with the Neuroplanète event until Saturday in Nice

If there is one organ that never ceases to fascinate – and intrigue – doctors and scientists, it is the brain. Everyone agrees that we still only know a small part of its mechanisms.

Like every year, the magazine Le Point devotes a conference to him, Neuroplanète, organized in partnership with the city of Nice. It starts this Thursday, March 9 and continues until Saturday. Better: it is free and open to all on registration. More place? It is possible because the event was taken by storm but nothing is lost because you can find the conferences online, to follow from home.

Laughter, empathy, astronauts

What awaits you for this 2023 edition? Lots of things! The program is very dense. It all starts this Thursday with an inaugural evening at the University Hospital of Nice, which will be an opportunity to talk about hyperbaric medicine, or how oxygen can heal, but also the process of memorization with the actor Félicien Juttner.

The next day, you will discover in particular how words cause pain. The expression is certainly largely hackneyed but it depicts the problem well (and this is, in any case, the title of the 11.50 am conference). Another question posed by the knowledgeable: “after life, where does consciousness go?”, a vast question for which psychiatrists and doctors will try to formulate hypotheses. On the same day, we will also talk about astronauts, stroke, memory, behavioral and cognitive therapies and chronic pain.

Saturday, the last day, time for topics such as laughter, drugs, brain training, screens, babiesbés or empathy. Throughout the symposium, workshops related to the conferences are also offered to the public.
