According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 15th, as of 9:00 am, 50 cm of snow fell in Misiryeong, Goseong, Gangwon Province, and 47.2 cm in Hyangrobong Peak. In Guryongryeong, Hongcheon, Gangwon-do, heavy snow fell mainly in the mountains of Gangwon, including 19.7 cm and 18.7 cm in Chochimryeong.

In the Yeongdong area of ​​Gangwon Province, more than 5 cm of snow fell. Snowfall by region is 8.8 cm in Gangneung, 7.5 cm in Yangyang, and 6.7 cm in Taebaek.

As of 9:00 am on this day, a heavy snowfall warning is in effect in the mountains of central and northern Gangwon. In addition, heavy snow warnings are in effect throughout Gangwon, eastern Gyeonggi, and northern Gyeongbuk mountains. From 10:00 am on this day, up to 7 cm of snow is expected to fall in the eastern part of North Chungcheong Province by the same day, and a heavy snowfall warning is extended.

In the mountains of Yeongdong, Gangwon and Bukdong, Gyeongbuk, the snow will repeat its strength and weakness until the 16th, and there will be places where strong and very heavy snow of 2-3 cm per hour falls.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, “As it is expected that a lot of snow will come, please pay special attention to damage to facilities such as plastic greenhouses and the collapse of weak structures, as well as traffic and pedestrian safety.”
