The father of the child, Hashem Alawi Al-Shula, confirmed to “Al-Youm” that his son, “Hassan, who is 5 years old”, died of suffocation inside a private bus, after he forgot him inside it while he was going to kindergarten in Al-Shweika neighborhood in Qatif Governorate.
Pointing out that the relevant authorities are investigating the incident to find out the circumstances of the event.
And he said every day the driver comes with a supervisor to take my son at 6:30 am in a minibus 12 passengers with a supervisor, and I watched that repeatedly, and on this Sunday the driver came from a non-supervisor, I asked him about it, he said the supervisor is sick, he took my son and he was in the vehicle About 3 children, and the driver usually goes to 9 children in the town of Hillat Mahish, and I have Hassan who studies in kindergarten in Al-Shweika neighborhood in Qatif.
Child dies inside the bus
He added, the driver called me at about 11:15 am telling me that my son was in the car and was not moving. Immediately, he took him to a health center near the school, I told one of my relatives and he took the child and took him to a clinic, knowing that my son Hassan died on the bus.
Child free of disease
Al-Shula denied that his son had any disease, and confirmed that he was free of all diseases, and said that he was very intelligent and prophetic, noting that he had 5 sons, two girls and 3 boys, and the child Hassan is the youngest among his children.
Al-Shula explained that he did not receive a call from the kindergarten informing him of his son’s absence, and demanded the necessity of rehabilitating drivers, teaching them how to drive and alerting them to any emergency, and that there be an ambulance bag, and checking the vehicle after the children’s descent and boarding, noting that the microbus is small, and if the driver looked at the vehicle, he would have found good in it. Thus, this tragedy did not occur, indicating that every year we lose innocent children, and the event is repeated and the concerned authorities must be interested in treating this matter.
