As you probably know, Qualcomm met fans and media this week of October 23 for a new edition of the Snapdragon Summit. The opportunity for the manufacturer to unveil its future products, starting with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, its new processor intended for high-end smartphones.

The brand also presented the Snapdragon X Elite, an ambitious processor that could revolutionize Windows PCs with high-end performance. But in this article we will not be talking about Qualcomm-branded products, but about a certain Windows 12. To everyone’s surprise, Microsoft’s next OS would have done a discreet appearance on the Snapdragon Summit stage.

Windows 12 accidentally revealed during the Snapdragon Summit?

As we can see in a photo shared on X by Windows insider techosarurex, a Windows window projected in the background caught the attention of many people. Indeed, we can have a new version of File Explorer. Which makes you wonder if this is not the version planned to accompany Windows 12.

Looking more closely, we notice in fact some notable differences with the current version of File Explorer. The Next/Previous/Refresh buttons are now on the same row, located at the top of the screen. The design of the icons seems to have been reworked (especially that of folders) as well. There is also this new search bar, installed in the left corner. So Windows 12 or not? Better not to get carried away. Indeed, it may very well be software that changes the appearance of Explorerlike a launcher on Android for example.

As a reminder, Microsoft has made numerous adjustments to the design and functionality of File Explorer. Started on Windows 10, these changes took a more significant turn on Windows 11. In July 2023, we got a first look at the upcoming new version of File Explorer.
