“Washington” announced the decision not to make a qualifying offer to the goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov.
The 25-year-old Russian enters the free agent market.
Samsonov was selected by the capital club in the 2015 draft in the first round under the 22nd overall number.
Last season, Samsonov played 44 matches in the regular season, in which he missed 119 goals.
