The energy crisis is hitting independents hard. Faced with inflation, the chip shop Chez Gus is forced to take measures, especially since it is also a victim of the increase in the price of raw materials.

A few days ago, we announced that the California Diner de Dour was going to be forced to close its room service from the first frosts, as the bill to heat the establishment would have been exorbitant. Today, another well-known brand in the region is being forced to make choices. The chip shop Chez Gus, located in Thulin, had to review its menu and opening hours, reluctantly.

Maïté Cara and William Blond have tried to postpone these changes as much as possible. “We opened two years ago in the context of the Covid,” explains Maïté.
