Robin Veldman recently left Sporting Anderlecht to join Scottish club Queens Park. A new experience that surprised many people, perhaps even a little interested.
“The club management told me in December that I was important for the long term,” Veldman told the Leeuwarder Courant. “But a lot of new people were appointed following the winter break. So they thought it was better for me to look for another club. But, I had a few good years at Anderlecht. However, I think the way the adventure ends now is very very disappointing.”
Veldman was not out of work for long. “Queen’s Park FC were looking for an attacking coach with good training management. That’s why they came to me. Of course, promotion to the (Scottish) Premier League is one of my objectives, but above all we want to lay a good foundation.”
