December is marked by the entry into force of new measures. But also by a whole series of tax meetings not to be forgotten…

End of the Agirc-Arrco penalty for new retirees

In 2019, a temporary pension penalty was created at Agirc-Arrco, the supplementary pension scheme for private sector employees. This was decided by the social partners who co-pilot this regime. The principle (but there were exceptions): if you did not postpone your retirement by at least one year from the moment you met the conditions of the full rate, your Agirc-Arrco pension could be reduced by 10% or 5 %, for a maximum of three years.

This penalty disappears for those whose retirement takes effect from this Friday 1is December, under a new agreement negotiated between unions and employers. Retirees who are already “penalized” will be exempt from this in April 2024.

In practice : How many quarters does it take for a full retirement, after the reform?

A bonus was set up at the same time in 2019, for those who postponed their departure by at least two years after the full rate – 10% for a two-year postponement, 20% for three years, 30% for four, and this for a year. For retirements starting on 1is December or after, it is also deleted, except for those born before 1is September 1961 (thus the generations not affected by the last pension reform, which came into force on 1is september).

Domestic violence: financial assistance

Universal emergency assistance for victims of domestic violence, created by a February law, comes into force on 1is December. The National Family Allowance Fund (CNAF) indicates that it can be requested on its website, ” in category My procedures > Simulate or request a service section > Personal life ». The amounts depending on the situation can be consulted on this same portal.

“Any person who is a victim of domestic violence (physical, psychological, etc.) with or without a child” is eligible, details the CNAF, specifying that you must reside in France permanently and have an official document less than twelve months old attesting to this violence (complaint, report to the public prosecutor, protection order). It is not necessary to be married; civil partnership partners and cohabiting couples are also affected. Objective: to help victims move away from the violent person.

Financial aid “takes the form of an interest-free loan or non-repayable assistance, depending on the financial and social situation of the person, taking into account, where applicable, the presence of dependent children”says the law, which specifies that payment must take place within three working days, but that “this period can be extended to five working days if the applicant is not a beneficiary”.
