This prison is located north of Guayaquil, within the prison complex where the Litoral Penitentiary, the Regional Penitentiary, the Women’s Prison and the Atenuados Prison are also located and reopened its doors on April 4, 2022.

The detainees are subjected to total isolation. They go out to the patio to sunbathe or exercise at limited times and do not mix with other people. They do not have the right to visits, except for contacts with their lawyers or investigators, and they do not have the right to connectivity.
