Al-Marsad Newspaper: A food security consultant explained that the prices of 500 basic food products have increased, compared to some neighboring countries.

He said during an interview with the “Yahla” program broadcast on the Gulf Rotana channel: “7 days ago, 120 people volunteered and conducted more than 500 visits to densely populated areas and governorates, during which they monitored

Increasing the prices of more than 500 basic products such as milk, cheese and detergents.

He continued: “The increase in some products exceeded 28%, with an average of 23.5% compared to some neighboring countries.”

He added: “Actually, the basket of food purchases for a family consisting of a father, a mother, and two children in Riyadh, for example, used to deduct 38.5% from the salary, and now it is 48.5%, or almost half of the salary.”
