On guitar, Canadian Dave Goodman, an instrumentalist of dazzling virtuosity, a remarkably gifted singer and a composer with a very personal touch. This “size” shared the stage with John Lee Hooker and The Ford Blues Band ( www.dave-goodman ).
On harmonica, the German Marc Breitfelder, the only European musician to have won with his accomplice, the pianist Georg Schroetter who will also be on the Kleebach stage, the International Blues Challenge (IBC), the most prestigious international blues competition ( www.gs-mb.com ).
On cajon and percussion, Sweden’s Martin Röttger has shared the stage with Chuck Berry, Junior Wells, The Spencer Davis Group, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Robben Ford (LA Express) and Louisiana Red at some 2,000 concerts in Europe and in the USA. www.martinroettger.de
On vocals, Marie Fofana is the vocalist of the German group Opportunity which, founded in 1998, has since acquired the status of a “cult group” across the Rhine ( www.opportunity-trio.com ).
The evening will be the high point of European music workshops attended by some 70 students from all over Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Great Britain, Belgium and Austria).
The concert, for which the students will provide the first part, will provide a unique and exceptional opportunity to discover musicians who usually “tour” all over the world and who, that evening, will share the stage in Alsace.
