After searching for his mother’s grave, an Egyptian artist tells the details of his upbringing in Diriyah and reveals his reaction when visiting the house where he spent his childhood

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Egyptian artist, Hamza Namira, spoke about his upbringing in Diriyah before the death of his mother, and the Saudi foods he loves, and this statement came after his search for his mother’s grave in Riyadh.

Namira said: “I was born in Diriyah, and I carry in my memory and sentimental very beautiful memories. Three decades ago, I returned with my family to Egypt after the death of my mother, who was buried in Riyadh.”

He pointed out: “Now, after this period, I visit Saudi Arabia, which is an opportunity to recall the places and the old house in which I lived and grew up within its walls, and I tried to visit my mother’s grave, and for the length of time and absence, I was not able to identify the location of the grave,” according to “Al Arabiya.net.”

And he stated: “My feelings towards Saudi Arabia are related to the memories and the impressive changes that occurred in Saudi Arabia in various aspects of life, but I still remember and love Saudi food, so I used to eat the night with passion, and I remember my primary studies in Saudi Arabia.”

He explained that he has a passion for visiting museums and tourist attractions that he is eager to visit, noting: “My real happiness was indescribable by my visit to the city in which I grew up and spent my childhood years in Riyadh, and circumstances allowed me to reach the house we used to live in, and I actually met him! Strange feelings when I saw the house and the area.”
