Agriculture issues implementation resolution Zero rate law for agricultural imports

The Ministry of Agriculture, through the Commission for Agricultural Imports, issued a resolution to implement the Ley 6-22 that has the zero import duty of the products that make up the family basket.

Resolution No. 03/2022 provides that those interested in importing agricultural products must apply through the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE)”.

The specific regulations that, for products such as chicken meat, powdered milk, fresh garlic and beans, indicative quotas have been determined for the volumes to be imported under said Law.

Import licenses will have a term that will not exceed 90 calendar days.

Those interested in requesting zero-rate authorization for the aforementioned products must submit their request in writing to the Commission for Agricultural Imports, through the Department of Agricultural and Livestock Promotion, Import Permits of the Ministry of Agriculture, and have the approval prior to making the request in VUCE.

It says that the approvals of requests will be made without prejudice to health requirements required by the competent authorities.
