Al-Marsad Newspaper: A member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Advisor to the Royal Court, Sheikh Saad Al-Shathri, revealed the ruling on choosing the gender of the fetus through test tubes.
Al-Shathri said, during his appearance on the Saudi channel: “The issue of choosing the gender of the fetus has been presented to some bodies and councils, and the opinion was directed to giving natural reasons for this, which is permissible and there is nothing wrong with it, as if there are medicines whose effects are a type of fetus and they are forbidden.” from surgical intervention.
He continued: “With regard to the test-tube baby, if the specialists can know the fetus, so that some of the fertilized eggs know the embryo that is formed in them, then there is nothing wrong with choosing some of these eggs because at that time they were not yet alive and did not connect with the body and did not attach to it. The other is permissible and there is nothing wrong with it, and we recommend that it not be destroyed and left until it is destroyed by itself.
