Marianna Kontoe, a well-known and beloved teacher of handicraft techniques, is coming to Patras. Head of the Powertex® Academy in Greece, Marianna has thousands of hours of learning how to use powertex materials. He is a creator, Mixed Media Artist, visual artist, writer, member of visual arts clubs, hyperactive – and above all an artist!
On Sunday, April 21 at 11.30 am, an original 5-hour jewelry making seminar will be held in the seminar area of Artika, with a participation fee and with the speaker Marianna Kontoe.
In this seminar we will make special elements for jewelry compositions from various materials with different techniques,
The techniques we will use are:
-Hardening of natural materials (birch, lace)
-Powertex and stone art clay
-Recycling of jewelry materials and elements
-Synthesis and integration of third-party elements (eg semi-precious stones, wires, etc.)
We will create:
-One set (Earrings, necklace, brooch) with lace
-A set with birch
-One set of crackle clay
-A set with a combination of birch and clay and the integration of a third element
-A set of clay ammonites
– Two bracelets (one with birch and one with metal base)
and birch strings!
The cost includes all materials and each participant will take with them all their creations, a total of 18 items.
This is a unique seminar aimed at those who make jewelry but not only. With the same techniques you can make many separate constructions.
