In the event of a victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, William Byron would become the sixth active driver with three consecutive victories.
With four consecutive victories, Chevrolet got off to a perfect start to its season. It is only the fourth time in history that a manufacturer has won the first four races of the season. Chevrolet had already done so in 1995 (five consecutive victories – editor’s note) and 2001, while Ford holds the record with nine consecutive victories in the 1992 season opener.
On the drivers’ side Alex Bowman is the only driver to score four top 10s in the first four races of the 2023 season. With two top 5s and four top 10s, the driver of the Hendrick Motorsports now seeks victory.
