ANAPEC and ILO unveil the results of the study

The National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) organized on July 25, 2022 in Casablanca the Workshop for the restitution and validation of the recommendations of the study on the rapid assessment of business needs in terms of requalification and skills development following the COVID-19 crisis, for the Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant sectors, as part of the STED-AMT project led by the ILO .

This Workshop saw the active participation of professionals from the tourism sector represented by their Professional Federations (CNT, FNAAVM, FNRT, FLASCAM and FNTT) as well as several institutional partners such as the National Labor Market Observatory, the HCP, the OFPPT and the Ministerial Departments of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Vocational Training, Commerce and the Digital Economy.

The results of the study presented highlighted the various HR support systems in the tourism sector that allow for better post-COVID recovery, as well as the advantages provided by public-private partnerships in this aspect. The study also made it possible to come out with four key recommendations in order to provide a rapid and adapted response to the needs of companies in terms of requalification and upgrading of the skills of their human capital.

These recommendations, which have been adopted by all the federations, outline clear and precise avenues for collaboration to achieve these objectives, something which has been concretized by the signing of five partnership agreements between ANAPEC and the various professional federations present, at namely the National Confederation of Tourism (CNT), the Federation of Car Rental Companies without Drivers in Morocco (FLASCAM), the National Federation of Travel Agencies of Morocco (FNAVM), the National Federation of Tourist Transport (FNTT) and the National Federation of Tourist Restaurants (FNRT).

The objective of these agreements is to enable the member companies of these Federations to benefit from the support of ANAPEC in terms of recruitment and the various incentive measures for employment, in particular with regard to the setting up of training actions which make it possible to promote the adaptation of new recruits to the workstations, something which remains essential as the results of the study have shown.
