Artefact Acquires Belgian Data and AI Specialist Agilytic to Expand in Benelux

French AI consulting firm Artefact has acquired Belgian data and AI specialist Agilytic, adding a 30-person team to expand its Benelux operations and strengthen its regional platform following a recent Dutch acquisition.

The French artificial intelligence consulting market has seen a major strategic expansion as Artefact, a firm recognized as a unicorn following backing from British private equity fund Cinven in July 2025, has acquired the Belgian data specialist Agilytic.

Inside Agilytic’s Ten-Year Track Record in Data and Real Estate

Over the span of a decade, Agilytic has built a substantial portfolio by compiling and interpreting data to serve the real estate sector alongside banking institutions, health mutuals, and retail chains. The firm’s team of 30 specialized data and AI consultants has executed more than 400 projects both within Belgium and internationally.

Rather than treating the acquisition as a simple exit by necessity, leadership framed the move as a calculated growth decision. This choice is not an exit by necessity, but a strategic decision, noted Julien Theys, highlighting that the mission remains centered on delivering reliable data and AI solutions with increased organizational backing.

Artefact’s Benelux Expansion and Global Growth Strategy

The integration of Agilytic directly strengthens Artefact’s operational platform across the Benelux region, following the earlier acquisition of Dutch company Ofi Services earlier in the year. Operating from its Brussels headquarters, the combined entity aims to support corporate clients across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and northern France.

Robin Verschuren, an AI tech lead at Artefact’s Brussels office, emphasized the firm’s distinct market positioning compared to legacy giants like Accenture, Deloitte, BCG, and McKinsey. We support companies in the adoption and deployment of cutting-edge technological solutions. It’s not just consulting, Verschuren explained, pointing out that top-tier talent in data and AI remains scarce and makes Agilytic’s 30 experts a vital accelerator for growth.

Scaling Toward an 800 Million Euro Revenue Target

Artefact’s broader ambitions stretch far beyond European borders.

Already established as a European leader in data and AI consulting, the broader group deploys more than 2,500 consultants, engineers, and data scientists across 27 countries while actively expanding its footprint into the United States, Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
