Beeper Mini Service Malfunction: Is Apple to Blame? Updates and Solutions

The Beeper Mini instant messaging service announced on Thursday that it had suffered a malfunction that affected a number of its users, and accused the American company Apple of being “behind the malfunction.”

The service reported in a post on the “X” platform that about 5% of the total users on Android devices were unable, on Wednesday, to exchange messages with iPhone users via the iMessage service.

Apple announced in a statement a few days ago that it had taken measures to close the technical method used by the Beeper Mini service to make Android users able to correspond with iPhone users via the iMessage application, but Beeper issued an update that restarted the service again. .

The company added: “It appears that (Apple) is currently deliberately disabling the access of messages from about 5% of our users to the iMessage service. Deleting the application and reinstalling it solves the problem.”

The service announced in another post that it is investigating the service disruption through its Beeper Mini and Beeper Cloud applications, and asked users to obtain a quick solution to the problem, by contacting Technical support team directly.

A number of users complained via the website:RedditDue to the interruption of the service and the difficulty of exchanging messages with iPhone users, while a number of others said that the service was operating normally.

Eric Majkowski, director and founder of Beeper, apologized for the bad experience that users of its service are currently experiencing, indicating that he would not blame them if they left the application and stopped using it.

Last month, Apple announced its readiness to support the new RCS messaging standard, which will facilitate messaging between iPhone and Android users over the Internet, without the need for third-party applications, which is a major shift in the company’s policy.

It explained, in a statement, that by the end of next year, it will begin supporting the operation of the new standard across its various devices, to facilitate messaging between users.
