Capturing the Magnificent Vortex Galaxy: A Stunning Image from the Seal Astronomical Observatory in Abu Dhabi

An astronomer team from the Seal Astronomical Observatory of the International Astronomy Center in Abu Dhabi was able to take a picture of the “vortex” galaxy, which bears the symbol (M51), and a small galaxy intertwined with it appears in the image.

The National Center indicated that the vortex galaxy is regarding 31 million light-years away from Earth, meaning that light needs 31 million years to reach Earth, while its diameter is 77 thousand light-years.

The Vortex Galaxy is located in the Seleucid group, and it is believed that there is a giant black hole in its center, and this galaxy has two large arms, and many places of formation of modern stars appear in it, and the observatory team that photographed with standard colored filters, for 15 hours, included: Osama Ghannam, Anas Muhammad , Sameh Al-Ashi, Khalfan Al-Nuaimi, and Muhammad Odeh.
