As autumn deepens across the Czech Republic, weather patterns are shifting over the coming days.
Saturday morning starts with lingering rain primarily over Moravia, while skies remain mostly cloudy to overcast with occasional sunny breaks in Bohemia. Precipitation will taper off significantly as the day progresses. According to Jana Hujslová, daytime showers will occur only sporadically, carrying a higher probability in the Bohemian mountains with expected totals remaining between three and four millimeters.
To help residents track the wet weather, meteorologists published a precipitation map across social media channels detailing regional accumulation amounts. The institute noted that snow flurries could appear at elevations above 1,200 meters, and above 900 meters in Bohemia. Highest daytime temperatures will generally hover between 8 and 13 °C, dropping to around 7 °C in western Bohemia and staying near 2 °C at 1,000 meters in the mountains.
Weekend Transition Into Snow and Rain
Sunday’s forecast calls for predominantly cloudy skies with rain pushing across the entire country from the west, reaching eastern regions by late afternoon. By evening, cloud cover and precipitation will begin to recede from the northwest, leaving behind only isolated showers. Elevations above 1,000 meters can expect mixed precipitation or snow, while daily maximum temperatures will range from 7 to 12 °C.
The new workweek begins with minimal cloud cover on Monday morning, though clouds will gradually multiply throughout the day, bringing isolated rain and initial high-elevation snow flurries above 1,200 meters. Overnight lows will dip between 6 and 2 °C, with daytime highs reaching 8 to 12 °C, and up to 14 °C in southern Moravia.
Clear Skies and Rising Temperatures by Tuesday
Tuesday starts out heavily clouded with occasional light rain in Bohemia. Skies will clear from the southwest through the day, giving way to mostly clear conditions following morning fog and low cloud formation. Daytime temperatures are slated to climb to between 8 and 13 °C, while parts of Bohemia outside the northern tier could see values soar between 13 and 17 °C.
