Motorists in the Capitale-Nationale had quite a nasty surprise watching the price of gas on Wednesday morning.

In just a few hours, prices at the pump went from $1.49 to $1.61 in a few hours, an increase of $0.12.
Several motorists interviewed by TVA Nouvelles are of the opinion that this increase is linked to the many trips made by Quebecers during the holidays.
Some are simply resigned to the price, saying they have “no choice anyway”.
