Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after 7:20 a.m. local time on September 27, 2026. Responding officers reached the address within four minutes of the initial call, according to statements from Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison during a Sunday morning media briefing. Inside the establishment, situated along a mostly residential street, officers discovered three individuals suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
The victims killed in the shooting were all reported to be over the age of 30, though police have withheld their identities pending formal notification of next of kin. In addition to the fatalities, four other individuals—consisting of two men and two women in their 20s and 30s—sustained injuries.
