We know (finally) who will kick off the Ducasse de Mons on Friday June 2. Just 10 days before the start of the festivities, the City of Mons announces the artists who will come to set the Grand’Place ablaze!

The headliner is none other than the famous French singer Kendji Girac. Already last year, he was approached for the concert. You can listen to the interpreter of “Andalouse” and “Tiago” from 10 p.m.

A Belgian in the first part

The public will also be able to listen to the Belgian Rori (8:45 p.m.) and the French Axel Bauer (midnight). DJ Jacky aka IXXEL will also be present to set the mood. “He will take the turntables to set the mood on the Grand’Place during the change of the artists’ sets”, details Nicolas Martin, the mayor of Mons.

“Once again this year, there will be something for everyone during these sold-out concerts, with a Belgian artist from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation opening for the first part. The formula is changing compared to last year’s edition, which had been prepared in a very short time due to the Covid. This time, we will have full concerts and no longer limited show cases, ”adds the mayor of Mons.

As a reminder, during the 2022 edition, Black M, Antoine Delie, Charlie Winston and Benabar set the Grand’Place in Mons on fire for the Doudou. Since last year, the RTBF has been organizing the Friday evening concert on the Grand’Place.
