Second on the list of coaches to contact is Adrian Griffin, Nick Nurse’s assistant for the Raptors. Nick Nurse himself having doubts about his future in Canada, not sure that Griffin will accept immediately if an opportunity arises with the Dinos. Otherwise, we can imagine that contacts will be made with free coaches like Ime Udoka, Steve Nash or even Frank Vogel. But here we are in the big assumption.
After a disastrous 2022-23 season marked by the worst record in the League and the injury of Cade Cunningham, Detroit wants to turn the corner. A change of coach would undoubtedly do good to this very young and ambitious group, especially if a certain Victor Wembanyama were to land via the next Draft.
