The Army Command – Orientation Directorate issued the following statement:
On 3/11/2022 in the town of Sha’at – Bekaa, a Toyota Tundra with dark windows and without plates tried to pass a circumstantial barrier that had been erected in the area, as its driver refused to comply with the officers’ orders to stop and crossed an iron fork that had been placed by the officers in an attempt to prevent him from passing , which forced them to fire several shots in the air, and then towards the car, where it was hit, veered off its course and hit an electric pole. The driver was injured and soon died.
A Kalashnikov and its own ammunition were seized from the car.
The seizures were handed over and the investigation was launched under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
