Salim Tarabay considers that one of the most beautiful comments he heard about his new song was his listeners telling him that it reminds them of the old Lebanese song, with a new Lebanese flavor and words, reminding them of the streets and cities they longed for.

In a return to Salim Tarabay’s beginnings in the world of music and art, a clear inclination for art appeared in him, as he was skilled in acting and had always played starring roles in school plays, in addition to his excellence in drawing, singing and singing, until his interest in singing stole him greatly.
With the emergence of this interest, Tarabay entered the Conservatoire, where his family encouraged him to do so, and with the passage of years he continued his studies to be able and knowledgeable about music.
When Selim plays the Oud, he lives the music with all his senses, and it may take him several hours to play without realizing the passage of time.
As for the distinctive voices on the artistic scene, he expressed his admiration for Melhem Zain’s voice, as he considers it the most complete voice, in terms of texture, strength of voice, and comfort while singing, as well as Adam’s voice, his unique style, and his distinctive performance. He also emphasized the beauty of Wael Kfoury’s voice and his admiration for his intelligence and how he manages his work, which always makes him a leader in the artistic arena. As for women’s voices, he expressed his admiration for the wonderful voice and performance of Abeer Nehme.
He also pointed out that there are many talents, and the art is still beautiful, but the ideas of composing and words witness some repetition, and the existing voices deserve greater diversity, whether in speech or melody.
In the same vein, Selim likes to spread his thoughts in the song and to deliver a direct message that appeals to every listener.
He also expressed his admiration for the great artist Wadih Al-Safi and Mrs. Fayrouz. Wadih Al-Safi always reflects on him, with his morals and love that made him always reconciled with himself, and this was reflected in his presence and abundance of production.
As for Mrs. Fayrouz, he considers her a gift from heaven. This is God’s plan for her, to be Fayrouz.
