Intel Arc A770 and A750: a realistic price estimate?

You may remember the event Arc Scavenger it’s been a while now since it’s from March 2021. This was a contest in which the biggest prize was a graphics card Intel Arc A770 and the second one Arc A750. Well, more than a year later, the cards and prizes have still not been given to the 300 winners. At the same time, with development taking time, it’s not necessarily a big surprise. Where we are surprised is that today Intel offers winners to replace the Arc A770 with an Intel Core i7-12700K CPU and the A750 with an i5-12600K.

In practice, the Californian giant offers the winners to choose either the alternative prize (a CPU), or to wait for the official launch of the graphics cards concerned. If no choice is made, then Intel automatically ships a processor instead of the graphics card. A situation that might be very frustrating for winners who have been waiting for their prizes for a year now following spending some time on the event in order to win these famous cards.

Concretely, this might give a good indication of the value of these Intel graphics cards. Considering the MSRP price of the i7-12700K at $409, that might mean that the Intel Arc A770 should have a price of around $400. A very good price for a card with 16 GB of memory. On the other hand, let’s hope that by the time this card is released, the drivers are in a better state than during the independent tests of theIntel Arc A380. Regarding the Arc A750, its price might be around $300 since the MSRP of the i5-12600K is $289.

Intel Arc A770 and A750: Here's a realistic price estimate

As for the launch date, Intel is still and always very discreet. All we have as an indication is a vague “later this summer”. Rumors speak of a launch in September, so very shortly before NVIDIA launches its new generation GeForce RTX 4000 cards. And therefore at the same time as the market launch of the new generation of processors from AMD.
