Ethe journalist Antonio de la Cruz, reporter in Tamaulipas who worked for the media Expresswas assassinated this morning in Ciudad Victoria.
The deputy of the Congress of Tamaulipas for Citizen movement, Gustavo Cardenas, made the news known because the communicator was a spokesperson for the party.
According to ExpressFirst reports indicate that the man was shot in front of his home located on Puerta de la Luna street, in the Tamatán port subdivision.
“Our comrade Antonio de la Cruz was shot at as he was leaving his home; we demand that this crime not be another one that goes unpunished,” the news site said.
In agreement with neighbors indicate that the reporter was inside his vehicle, when he was attacked on the driver’s side by apparently two subjects on a motorcycle, who fled through a mounted lot at the end of the street.
Apparently there were 5 heavy caliber bullet wounds that he received.
Governor and mayor condemn murder
The state governor, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, offered his condolences to the journalist’s family and said that his government has the commitment to clarify the facts and that the crime does not go unpunished.

Likewise, the mayor of Ciudad Victoria, Eduardo Gattás, lamented the murder of Antonio de la Cruz and said that it is an isolated incident.
“The death of the partner is unfortunate… We call the authorities, I think it is something isolated, but what has just happened is unfortunate.”
He pointed out that his government is working to improve security in the city and for this they collaborate with the Sedena and the National Guard, in addition to building barracks for corporations.
Tamaulipas Prosecutor’s Office opens investigation folder
The Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office initiated an investigation into the events recorded in which the journalist died and Cynthia “D” was injured by a firearm projectile. The inquiries are carried out in accordance with the Approved Protocol for the Investigation of Crimes Committed against Freedom of Expression.

FGR attracts murdered journalist case

Governor-elect of Tamaulipas condemns murder
The elected governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal Anaya lamented the murder of the journalist just this Wednesday morning, who left his home in the State Capital in order to carry out his activities.
“I strongly regret and condemn the cowardly attack that claimed the life of journalist Antonio De la Cruz, and where one of his daughters was also injured, an event recorded this morning when they were leaving their home,” he said on social networks.
