King Abdullah II Visits Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza: Updates and Support

Ammon – His Majesty King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, checked on the staff of the Jordanian field hospital, Gaza/76, and on those injured as a result of the Israeli bombing in the vicinity of the hospital.

During a phone call with the commander of the hospital force, Colonel Thaer Al-Khatib, on Sunday, His Majesty conveyed his greetings to the injured heroes and his wishes for a speedy recovery.

His Majesty the King said, “We are with you and all Jordanians are proud of you, brave men of the Arab Army. May God protect you and give you health and wellness. Greetings to the young men, morale is high, God willing.”

His Majesty stressed that the attack on medical personnel in the hospital is a heinous crime, pointing out that all appropriate measures will be taken to deal with this attack.

His Majesty the King reaffirmed his support for the tremendous efforts made by hospital staff to serve and treat families in Gaza who are victims of the Israeli aggression, stressing that these efforts are part of Jordan’s continued support for our Palestinian brothers.

In turn, the hospital force commander said that all hospital staff are fine, morale is high, and the injured are receiving the necessary treatment, stressing the readiness to continue providing medical service to the people in Gaza.

Seven staff members from the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza were injured as a result of the Israeli bombing in the vicinity of the hospital, last Wednesday, while they were trying to treat Palestinian citizens who were injured during an Israeli bombing and transfer them to the emergency department.

The hospital was established under the guidance of His Majesty the Supreme Commander in 2009, and its cadres number 182 members of the medical staff in the Royal Medical Services and support teams.
