Kuwait’s Public Authority of Manpower has announced that it will set up a shelter for male expatriates who have legal problems with their employers.
At present, women expatriates are being accommodated in the Public Authority of Manpower shelter. Deputy Director General Dr. Fahad Al Murad said that accommodation facilities are being prepared for women as per the request received from the authority.
Established in 2014, the shelter has hosted more than 13,000 women workers. Dr. Fahad Al Murad informed that 960 women workers have arrived at the center in the past one year and currently only 35 remain in the center.
Awareness about the rights and duties of the workers has been started. Al Murad also said that pamphlets in seven languages have been distributed this year as part of efforts to help expatriates.
