The National Civil Police (PNC) and the Public Ministry (MP) reported the capture of Doménica Marleny “N”, 24 years old, accused of the crime of abuse against minors, after surveillance cameras recorded her while attacking a minor that he cared for in San Cristóbal, Mixco.

The Prosecutor’s Office for Children and Adolescents of the MP reported on February 16 that together with the PNC they coordinated the arrest of Sánchez Palma, a babysitter who is accused of child abuse.

The MP explains that the capture is following a video that circulated on social networks, through which actions committed against a 3-year-old child were seen.

It adds that the investigation carried out by the prosecutor’s office determined that the actions were committed by the accused who was taking care of the child, in the absence of the parents.

The PNC reported that on Thursday, February 15, 2024, guidelines were received with file number M0030-2024-290 requesting that investigation proceedings begin in follow-up to the complaint of abuse against minors to the detriment of a child. of 3 years.

It is explained that the babysitter Doménica Marleny “N”, on February 14, 2024, attacked the minor on the public road on 5th Street A, sector C1 Ciudad San Cristóbal, zone 8 of Mixco.

They add that the images were captured by a security camera and were published on social networks.

It is detailed that the minor was rescued by personnel from the Attorney General’s Office on February 15.

The PNC explains that the capture of the nanny occurred this Friday, February 16, at 1:35 a.m., on 17th Street in front of number 09-32 Colonia Santa Faz, zone 6 of the capital.

It is noted that the woman had an arrest warrant dated February 15, 2024 issued by Gilmar Alexander Cuc Guerrero, of the 24-hour Criminal First Instance Court with specific jurisdiction to hear crimes committed against girls, boys and adolescents of the Department. of Guatemala and which was placed at the disposal of the competent court.
