Chiayi County Mayor Weng Zhangliang pointed out in his speech that he thanked the National Day Preparatory Committee for choosing to set off fireworks in Chiayi County. President Tsai Ing-wen said that under the leadership of Weng Zhangliang, Chiayi County has transformed into an “agricultural and industrial county”.
