Nations of Africa.. Egypt defeats Sudan and snatches the qualification ticket to the second round

The Egyptian national team won the Arab derby and snatched the ticket to qualify for the final price by defeating its Sudanese neighbor 1-0 on Wednesday at the “Ahmadou Ahidjo” stadium in Yaounde in the last third round of Group D competitions in the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations in football.

The Pharaohs owed the victory to defender Mohamed Abdel Moneim, who scored the only goal in the 36th minute.

It is the second successive victory for the Pharaohs following the first over Guinea Bissau with the same result in the second round, raising its score to six points, ending the first round in second place, three points behind the leaders Nigeria and the only one who achieved the full mark by beating Guinea Bissau 2-0 in Garoua.

The equalizer was enough for Egypt, as Guinea Bissau was their opponent, and Sudan was on the second card, and they lost once morest Nigeria 2-0.
