What the wife of the 39-year-old murdered in Nice said on the LiveNews program is revealing.
“This man who destroyed our house. He was threatening us and we had filed a complaint against him. They had taken him to a psychiatric center and left him… The psychiatric hospital told us that he has no problem and is being released. He was discharged!” she says of her father.
“From whom can I ask for responsibility that this man was driving responsibly? … I learned that his car was here for a week and he was watching.”
“My husband was 39 years old and a very good man,” she concluded.
What the former brother-in-law of the perpetrator said was on the same wavelength.
“Why did you break up with my sister? It was too late for everything to fall apart. Because he was beating her, he did it and left, he went to Athens and since then he started making threats, the police know about this. But we didn’t think it would come this far. I mean when he made threats, blood will be spilled and when he got divorced, they came here and the prosecutor sent him to the mental hospital,” he told LiveNews.
“But they took him out in a week, because the doctor said he doesn’t have anything, he’s just a bad person. That is, he had messed with everyone. He said many things when my sister left for Athens. I don’t know, it happened to me today too… I still can’t get over it. And now I’m going to Athens to help my niece a little. His mind was stuck that my niece took my sister, so that… and to tell you the truth, it took him a long time to get a divorce, because he kept beating her.”
