Today, Thursday, the Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, discussed with the governor of Wasit, Muhammad Jamil al-Mayahi, security plans and procedures in the province.
Al-Shammari said in a press conference attended by Al-Sumaria correspondent, “We discussed with the governor of Wasit during our visit to the province all the security plans and our tour included the security departments in the province,” noting that “we also discussed the issue of borders and the development of work and came out with positive results.”
He added, “There is a lack of support from the governorate and the local government to enhance the capabilities of the police command, traffic and rescue patrols, and to maintain the infrastructure of the Ministry of Interior.”
In addition, the governor of Wasit, Muhammad Jamil al-Mayahi, confirmed at the conference that the province is witnessing security stability, while indicating that this visit will enhance the security and stability of the province.
Al-Mayahi said, “The visit of the Minister of Interior to the province will have positive results in the next stage.”
